Im pretty sure there was a thread on this before but cant find it.

Anyway im a left handed player, only started to take the game seriously in the last year or so and am slowly improving my 'beginners' set of clubs.

Irons are the next priority. Thing is theres so much choice its really hard to know. Could someone please recommend a good set for around €300 to €400. Handicap is 15.

Probably my biggest weakness is long irons from the fairway if that makes any difference. Well that and short putts but thats a different story!

i have a set of wilson staff Di9's and find them okay.

a fellow leftie who plays off 1 told me i should have gone Ping G10 irons (don't know how much they cost) i have the Ping G10 driver & 3 Wood and love both of them but had bought the wilson staff irons beforehand.

it's not that i don't like the wilson, but something always lurks in the back of my mind - "you should of bought the ping g10 irons".

if you go to a shop they will more than likely bring 3 or 4 different irons into the hitting bay and see which is best for you. more expensive does not equal better either. take your time over the decision and go with it.

lots of good stuff out there....mizuno, ping, taylormade, wilson, cobra, callaway,Nike,Cleveland ,Titleist...they all make good clubs...it's whatever feels good to you...
try to hit some at a golf range and that will help you decide...
a custom fitting session would help....

+1 for getting fitted, probably the best €50 you'll spend on irons.

Most of the big brands make good stuff nowadays so there's a fair choice out there. I'm a lefty myself so I know how hard it can be to get some models in L/H. However, generally the models that are only available right handed tend to be at the better player / pro end of the scale so if you're off 15 it likely won't matter yet.

You can't go wrong with Mizuno, Titleist, Ping, Taylor Made etc. I've probably listed them in order of my own presonal choice though :D
