    long story short people

employed by a building company since Sep 2000 and in March 2009 i was put on a 3 day week , and in March 2010 they had to let everybody go ( signed P45 and sent it in to tax office etc ) and they ( owners ) opened up a new building company and re-employed us in this new company ( sent in 45P to tax office )

now they didnt close down the old one , its still open but mainly to collect money that is due to them from clients , because if they advertise that they closed down they'd never get this money etc

so also if their in the middle of a job the tax man can't close them down as their operating under the diff name

Now they said that their accountant said that all our redundancy entitlements are carried into the new company and we carry on as normal , is that possible ??? can i still claim my redundancy from the old company ?? ive been offered a full time position elsewhere with decent prospects and i dont wanna walk away from €12k i feel im owed from the first company letting us go
