ever increasing distances with irons

    just looking at the new callaway x -24's on their website.....

    i think my pw is 48*,no wonder clubs are going longer and longer when the manufacturers are de-lofting them

    here are the club lofts,seem a bit strong to me with the 8 - pw
    4 22º
    5 25º
    6 28º
    7 31º
    8 35º
    9 40º
    PW45º
    AW50º
    SW55º

    Then when they advertise the clubs as being super long and hot off the face. They are significantly stronger than the below spec for Titleist AP2's

    AW51º

    As above a Titleist AP2 7 iron loft is a Callaway x-24 8 Iron!

    It's clever in that at the high end they get to flog you a gap wedge to bridge the distance gap between PW and SW whilst at the low end with a 4 iron playing like a 3 they get to flog a hybrid club to anyone struggling to get that low a loft into the air.

    Never thought much of any Callaway product TBH though the Odyssey putters are nice.
