Sky Channels Dark

All channels on my Sky box are darker than they should be, but when I switch off the box my normal stations are fine. Switching off the box, rebooting it isn't working. Anyone know what to do?

Sounds like the scart lead mite not be pushed in properly or check the Picture settings on the sky box itself.

You havent said what type of sky box you have, if its a standard or sky plus box.

then press services (top of remote)
    Press no 4
then no 1 on keypad to get into the picture settings...

Here you can adjust the screen contrast, I usually leave it in medium positiion and then change the video output settings between Pal and RGB which is usally brighter and of superior quality..

I also experience this with my box.I notice this happens when I first turn on my tv and sky box.To solve it I press "tv" and then "backup" on the sky remote to go to my ordinary aerial channels on the tv. If i wait a few seconds the brightness comes back up and I press "sky" on the sky remote to return to the sky channels again and they are no longer dark.Hope this helps you also.

Thanks for the advice. Its a standard box, I've changed the scat leads so its not them. There is a slight improvement but not much, I think the tv is just on the way out at this stage!
