Can anyone recommend a good round for the .25 06, A friend of mine is using one and asked me to post this. He is currently using Federal soft point 120gr. He does a lot of red and sika stalking and is curious as to what other people are using for this caliber. Cheers lads.

IWM has one. For Red I'd guess http://www.hornady.com/store/25-06-Rem-110-gr-GMX-Superformance/
would be good, although I have no experience with the cal. Perhaps a heavier grain in .25-06 Hornady only seem to go to 117 grain.

I'd reckon these would be a stinger of a round

not a thing wrong with the federal 117gr soft point he is using .SSTs will cost more and do the same job

I'm currently shooting 117gr Sierra Gamekings, Federal Premium load. They're shooting quite well (Was about three quarters of an inch to an inch at 200m today. Have yet to try them on live game. Shot the 117gr SST in it before and it was more accurate. Depending on prices, I may shoot them once the season comes in. I shall have to see. Could definitely recommend the Sierra load though, based on reviews of the bullet's performance and the accuracy I'm getting.

Nope, not the time of year, and nobody looking for me to do it. Not a fox shooter, prefer not to shoot anything I can't eat unless I have to.

i'll get you a few foxes if you have the patience to call them.
I know a few guys from the ARW who claim to have eaten fox!

I find mine shoots best with the 117gr bullets. Yet to shoot anything that weight through it it won't shoot well. SSTs were about the best at 1/2 to 3/4 inch prone off the bipod, but they all shot into about an inch or less. The previous owner shot the 100gr Nosler BTs through it and they're about an inch or slightly less. Out of curiosity jw, how do you mean it's not a point and pull cal? Don't understand what you mean by that.
