SC2/BW meet up in Dublin next week end?

Hey lads,

okay this is pretty short notice but I just realized that exams are over!!
So what about some food and a couple of drinks next week end?

I d say saturday (june 19th), colege green, 7pm is a good way to start. Then we can move from there

The point is to get to know eachother regarldess of skills (i m pretty noob at BW myself ) to have a good time.

Who s interested?

Any suggestions of places to actually go to? (though we can decide on the spot)

I'm not a SC player (yet), but would be up for a strategy gaming get together. None of my friends appreciate the wonders of a good strategy game. Well, except Football Manager...

I mostly play Civ, C&C and have tried to get into Battle Forge. Gonna give SC2 a go if I can get into it, so talking to some of the players might push me along.

So if anybody wants to do something in Dublin in a net cafe or wherever we can hook up laptops (starbucks?) I'm in.

Yea man right now Monday sounds ok. I could have a little work to be done but might be able to leave it til late afternoon.

It would have to be a central cafe in D1 or D2.

If you're off work I think early morning (11am?) suits best as the place won't be packed then. But then again, it will fill up around lunch, and if management is there they might be squeezing us to spend more and more as we're taking up space in a cafe that's known to have crowding issues.

The other idea, which might work better given the amount of space during the day time, is somewhere like The Porterhouse Central. Lots of room early in the day. I've never used the power there, but can't see an issue if we buy a small bite to eat/coke/whatever takes your fancy. I've hooked up power strips in other bars with their permission before so can't see an issue.

We would prob need one power strip per two people to be safe. So we'll have to arrange one between us if it's just the two of us.

I have a four port network hub, so we'd be fine for LAN for up to four people. Just bring an ethernet cable each. (Just realised I bought an 8 port not so long ago. So we're grand to LAN with up to 8 people).

Let me know ASAP if you're ok for Monday around 11am. And what venue you would prefer in D1 or D2.

Also, if anybody else wants to come and play SC2, just let us know. The more the merrier, as they say.

rather chat. Then again i m always up for a bw lan.

11am works for me at any case. i m away this week end until sunday evening so my apologies if i dont answer until then, but i ll check on sunday evening, definately!

Yea trinity gate is a good place. We can decide on a place after that. I wonder do Game The World have Starcraft 2 installed? I doubt it. But they're nice and close to trinity to have a quick look. I need some experienced pkayers to give me tips on this game. Got it friday but then unplanned drinking has interupted my planned weekend of playing it.

EDIT: so who is defo in for this?
