What a coincidence, I finished watching the last episode literally less than 30 minutes ago.

Does this mean there's no 2nd season? Because that kinda sucks. I probably wouldn't have watched the first season had I known that!

I can't speak for V because I never finished watching that season. But I strongly disagree with the article when it says the earlier episodes of Flash Forward were better! I almost gave up on it around the 8th episode or so, but I'm glad I didn't as I found the second half of the season much much better.

Too bad I'm never gonna get ''closure'' on it now!

This posting on another website sums it up for me:

"They just don't have enough material for the number of episodes and very poor talent in character developement."

Think a 13 episode arc would have been better and while the character development wasnt great I dont understand what they mean by talent as the actors playing them were of a high calibre based on their previous work anyways.

^ true, Fiennes was definately miscast, you could telll his heart was never in the character he played. You're right in saying the actors themselves and based on previous work are solid, but they clearly were not given proper direction or enough room (script wise) to develop characters.

The cast was too large, imo....Benfords wife was not nesscary, even though toward the end she became more important, but from the outset she was not nesscary. You had too much "outer circle" filler fluff clogging up the main arc and plot points.

They had some filler episodes in the early part of the season that killed the momentum. It never recovered from that. It's a pity because having stuck with it, the show definitely picked up and improved. I was a fan and will miss it.

I do think there could have been greater use of mystery on the show too. For example, the kangaroo from the first season. Bizarre Lost-like moments such as this that promised a lot but delivered little.

this show died for me,when the car the main charecters were sitting in took a direct hit from a rpg and they all come running in slow motion shooting from around pillars.and joseph finnes only injury is a drop of blood on his shirt, had great potential but bombed.

The characters, plain and simple, killed its chances from the start. It was impossible to care about any of them, particularly Benford.

FlashForward failed because of one person : Bannon Braga. There's no reason to expect anything from shows he has a hand in - how he's considered employable is beyond me.

I opted out of FlashForward in October and I'm glad I didn't waste any further time on it. :)

There's one thing that I can be thankful to Braga for and that's for freezing Ronald D. Moore out of the Star Trek Voyager writing team because the result was Battlestar Galactica.

I have to agreee with Talisman - I can't comment on Braga's other work but he lost me early in, though I stuck it out due to the lack of decent new sci-fi this year.

Its such a waste of a decent premise.
