can someone please explain this rule?
ive seen them use 2 different formulas.
    in 2007 they say 2(odds)+4(evens)
    in 2008 they say 2(evens) + 4(odds)

which is it or is it different from year to year..
    thanks

Remember TOFE: Two times the Odds, Four times the Evens.

No idea where they got the other version from.

They didn't, you must have misread it. Look at the marking scheme.

Must have been a mistake, 2(odds)+4(evens) is what's in the log tables.

You're lucky I did this like an hour ago :p got 137 m^2

    formula: h/3 (y1 + yn + 2(y3 + y5 ...) + 4 (y2 + y4 ...))

    put it into the question:
    3/3 (9 + 4 + 2(9+7) + 4(10 + 8 + 5))

    which is:
    1(13 + 2(16) + 4(23)) =

    13 + 32 + 92 = 137. Seeing as it's area it's m^2 :)
