I am in Dublin 8 and have a very slow 3 mobile broadband connection for 19.99 Euro a month. What are the best options available for me in this part of the world? Many thanks in advance.

Mobile midband solutions are never a good alternative to real broadband. In Dublin, you will likely have a host of real services to choose from. UPC, Magnet, Digiweb, Imagine Breeze, eircom and all the re-sellers.

Many thanks for your response and was thinking the fixed broadband might be the way to go. Any ideas what the best in terms of speed and price are? Thanks again.

    > 200mS ping is rubbish though. At that latency a web page with several domains will open faster on broadband with only 1Mbps. No use for many online games either

The next post above is also more representative of a cell with more than one person

Actually very good latency. Nearly good enough for gaming.

Mobile is not reliable or consistent.
