    Hi Guys,

    I am wondering do I need to book tickets for the races, we have a group going but not sure of the numbers and was wondering if we turned up will we get in. I think we would but would like to know as this is our first time to go to the races, think it should be a good evening with the saw doctors after.

    OP I'd say ring ahead there are usually group discounts. Are you going specifically for the Derby? That isn't on til the Sunday,it's a three day meeting,as far as I'm aware.

    are reserved enclosure tickets normally available at the curragh on derby day or do they sell out in advance?

    you can pay at the gate for friday evening - check http://www.curragh.ie/news/dubai-irish-derby.asp

    the punter's package seems good for groups - race card, €2 bet voucher, €5 food / drink voucher + admission for €25 each. + Saw doctors performing afterwards.

    A further option - park in kildare town and take the publicans bus for €3 return - avoids parking headaches.
