Sky changing channels

What happens to a recording if sky decide to change channels - i.e. a football match gets changed from SS1 to SS2? Does the box still try to record SS1?

Why would you ask......never remember Sky changing channels like that. They control what time games are played well in advance so why would they suddenly change channels?
