    Hey guys,

ive never posted in here before , to be honest I aint got the foggiest idea what exactly the draw to airsoft is, in fact i dont even know what exactly you do i know it involves air guns (rifles ect) and targets right?

Now to the point i see a big sign up in my local town (newtowncunningham) saying airsort games and archery range comming soon.... now it used to be a fairly big furnature / hottub (i know) warehouse, but i didn't think it would be big enough for a range. There is no phone number and as it isnt opened up yet i thought id ask all ye in here..

I will prob head down to it to see what its all about but what should i expect, will it be full of over eger, semi drunk 15 year olds? Or mid 20's folk like myself who are into it or wondering what its all about? Will i need to bring all my own gear with me (in which case i'll not be going) or can you hire out gear?

Thanks for looking and look forward to hearing from everyone,
    HS.

Archery goes from 20Meters to around 80Meters Airsoft would be within those limits.

Depending on who is opening it there may be rentals there for you. Usually not that expensive, similar to paintball prices but cheaper ammo. Bring you own clothes though, most sites dont offer coveralls, you dont need them unlike paintball where they are used to stop you coming back in multicoloured clothes

I think it may be like the one in Carrick on Shannon which is designed as a basic shooting range where you can just pay to shoot at targets and then move further down into the building and shoot targets with bows.

I could be wrong lads but I think that's whats involved.

It's my nearst site for trigger pulling.

I'd reccomend it. You have your standard range with paper targets. AEGs pistols, snipers are supplied. Andrew is dead on.

    All good.

Maybe places like this one and the Carrick on Shannon are good for airsoft in that we could pick up new players who visit them and then want to move on to playing full on Airsoft. Personally I like shooting at cunning moving targets that are doing their very best to shoot me too:p

It's good for zeroing the scopes, practicing snapshots etc. I'd use it to check upgrades in lab conditions before bring it out to the field.

    PS Preditor here I come!
