    hey anyone know if a formal letter is comming up:( and will they give you a choice?

    nope but its meant to get easier for LC :D

    No, french is more challenging then German (I do french but I've heard that German has less rules etc.).
    And the SEC expect you to have some level of fluency for leaving cert (German as well as french) so languages are quite tough for the LC if you don't put continuos (sp?) work in.

    And as alleystar said OP, you'll have a choice with the formal letter :)
    Practise your aural also.
    And as my old french teacher used to always say, TENSE! Verbs are essential.
