As the title says, I am curious to see if anyone in Ireland ever tried and/or made it to K1 in Japan?

This show is a bit strange anyway, there are some very good fighters in excellent condition while I also watched some stupid fights with sumo like fighters who could not even lift their own arm to punch the other guy.

It is more like a show right? That is the way I understand/see it.

I seen Sean Collier fighting a few years ago in a K-1 event on eurosport.
Dont know if it was in Japan or not.

    Blackdragon would know.

Sean Collier fought on several Eurosport & Sky TV shows but under Full Contact Rules - one of his opponents was a K-1 & Thai fighter from the Vos gym in Holland which he won on points and another was a K-1 fighter from Spain which he stopped in the third.
I can tell you now that no Irish fighter has yet fought in the K-1 in Japan.

seamus cogan only irish fighter to have fought on official k1 show as in wikipedia article above . k1 is an organisation its not a sport. fighter who appear on k1 events are hand picked for their skill, experience (and sometimes marketability as in choi man hong from korea).you will see plenty of "k1 style /rules" bouts in ireland but dont confuse these with real k1
