Keanu Reeves Gives Away 50 Million

Was reading about Keanu Reeves (HERE) giving 50 million of his own money away to film people that work in the background - he also gives millions away to cancer charities (his sister has leukaemia). He says he has enough money.

I have to say, I'm not a big fan of his films but fair dues to him, thats an outstanding act of kindness. Fair play to him.

glad to see that at least some one is doing something useful with their own fortune. surely a few million is enough for anyone, it's pointless having 100+ million dollars sitting around in a bank account doing nothing when it could be put to good use.

Don't think anyone begrudges charity or generosity when someone does it themselves and doesn't preach about it.

Fair play indeed, good guy. Was gonna say I wonder how much more he's given away since then but I don't think he's made all that much since. :P

Fair play to him, it's oh so rare to see a celebrity to back up their talk with action. That is really a monumental sum of money to give away, I can't praise him enough!

Now that is what i call philanthrophy. Most celebs call themselves "philanthropists" just because they attend a blacktie dinner, sip some champagne and load themselves with photo opportunities and they actually think that's charity work. Keanu is deadly, respect.

I know if I had that amount of money I would give a lot away to family and friends.
The best part of having money and wealth is being able to give others the chance
to live their dreams. Giving is better than receiving I think, and no, not what you are thinking.

I guess I was wrong about celebs. Fair dues to him, actually doing something not just putting his name to it like most other celebs. Or selling something worthless to him anyway.
