    Evening folks,

Just two questions for the cycling public out there, specifically for anyone that owns a Dolan Pre-Cursa.

1: What do you make of the bike?, I'm looking to add a fixer to the shed and have had good experiences with Dolan road bikes and the Pre-Cursa looks like good value to me.

2: Is it possible to drill holes in the frame for brakes?, as I'd be using it for commuting and training.

    Thanks a mill!

    Gav

    Hi Gav,

The pre-cursa is a decent quality track frame, raced one in Sundrive for a full season and didnt have any issues with it.

It is possible to drill the rear bridge to fit a brake caliper, here is an image of one where someone else has successfully fitted a rear caliper:

There are also kerin rear brakes available on line for use when there is no bridge on the frame:

Check out the following page for some information about drilling for front and rear calipers:

You need to use a really good quality drill bit and be extremely careful when doing this. Anyway best of luck with it and hope the training is going well ;-)
