£10 on USA, Germany & Holland winning returns £165

The US are overrated, England will win this 2-0 easily

I think both teams to score is what I'll got for on this one. Don't have too much faith in the English defence and Donovan and Dempsey are a threat. England will probably edge it though.

    This is what i'm thinking:

    Asian handicap - USA (+1) @ 1.95 (Bet365)
Unders - no decent odds on this really though

Think i'll go for 2-0 England at 11/2 and Gerrard to score anytime at 11/4.

    Thoughts?

This has 0-0 written all over it!

England will definitely win this match.

2-0 win I'm thinking with Rooney to score. 16/1.

I've gone for €20 on Gerrard to score anytime @ 13/5

    and a €1 lotto bet on Donovan 1-0 @ 100/1 :p

    I'm going with the following:
USA half time / Draw full time 23/1 (Betfair)
Dempsey to score first and game to end 1-1 65/1 (Bet365)

USA are well up for this match, I'm going with a draw at 3/1

I don't get the optimism over England. I know theres a good chance they'll prove me wrong, but their warmup matches were less than convincing - with a generous 3-1 against Mexico, and a win over Japan with Japan scoring 2 own goals.

I think its much the same stuff we've seen from England before, lots of good players, can't play well together, look nervous, and making uncharacteristic errors that they wouldn't make at club-level.

I think the USA have a really good chance in this game and the draw is probably the likely outcome. But, as above, i'll be going for the asian handicap with USA (+1) for now; maybe a small stake on USA win too.

Had a small gamble on England 2-0 Rooney to score first at 16/1. Powers refunding all 1st/last goalscorer correct score & scorecast singles if Rooney scores anytime.

    Usa +1.
    5 points

Is USA +1 not the same as an outright draw?

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,853 ✭✭✭Kod-box

no because if they win he still gets paid for the +1 so its draw and win.

No, If the US also win then your bet wins.

Ashley Cole anytime @ 11/1 for moi.

risky Pyro...he's never scored for England has he?

    England 2-1 USA @ 7/1
    Gerrard 1st scorer @ 8/1

Remember lads PP are offering money back if Rooney scores

    Went E20 lampard frist goal

E10 lennon first goal in Bamburys so if the USA score its money back on all losers

    ^ thats a great special.

backed the 1-1 myself and will prob back a 1st / last goalscorer when i see the teams.

Could this be the first game to go over 2.5? The bookies have been against them so far with the 4 games already played being over the evens mark for that outcome. This game is 2.10 on PP. Both teams are dodgy at the back but have good goal scorers. They've shown in the friendlies that they can score goals regardless of how they get them in the back of the net. All their warm up games went over 2.5 goals as well. Gonna stick the 100 i just won from the Cavan v Fermanagh game on that bet. Had a feeling the Argentina game was gonna be the first over but only for the Nigerian keeper more goals were denied. Have that same feeling about this one.

Stuck 2 quid on Donovan to be first scorer at Betfair at 18/1 - I know PP are giving money back if Rooney scores but he's only 9/1 with them!

    Edit: Wrong stake!

  • Registered Users Posts: 45,280 ✭✭✭✭Bobeagleburger

Average goals per game so far = 1.25.

So much for this magic ball...
