I think my inverter (or backlight) is ****ed. Where in Dublin can I get this fixed?

I got a Sager NP8660. The backlight is not off and I suspect it's the inverter -- it started off by going black for only a minute and then reilluminating. But this happened more and more often, until eventually the screen never re-lit

(It actually happened 2 weeks ago but 3-4 days later it started working again)

I dont want to get fleeced out of my money by going to dodgey shops in Dublin. Either way, Im going to insist on an inverter replacement cause that'd be the cheapest and most likely problem.

Where in Dublin would be a good place to go? North Side and/or city centre locations would be preferred.

I want to get this fixed asap as I'm currently lighting my computer by suspending a desk lamp via an elaborate system of rubber bands and wires :)

The same thing has happened to my girlfriends laptop,it's a hp pavillion but i found i could order the inverter part from the website. It cost 37 euro including postage,it may not be possible with your brand but tis an option to look into

is it flicking off when you move the laptop? Tracked mine down to a loose connection; reseated it and its been grand ever since. Put up with that **** for 6 months expecting the inverter to die but it never did.
