    Hi Guys,

I have been offered a place on this years course and I was wondering if any past students could give their opinion on it or even tips?

Trying to plan whether to commute or live in Galway so really interested in what type of hours are involved. Is the workload hard/manageable? Overall did you find the course good?

    Thanks a mill :)

    Hey Appley

I'm a course graduate. Workload is manageable if a bit intense at times. How far are you talking about commuting from? Because the course director DOES NOT appreciate people who commute from long distances. One guy commuted from Donegal and wasn't there half the time. She took him aside and told him that the course was not distant learning and if he wanted to pass he'd need to get the finger out.

It is a brilliant course though and I enjoyed every minute of it! Congrats on being offered it, it's a tough one to get into.

Hey, I got offered a place there too! Does anyone know how much emphasis is placed on radio in this course? I would really prefer the radio side of journalism, especially radio production and news reading and I'm just wondering if this course could get me into it?
Or would the radio and tv production in maynooth be better?
