Got the Goldmaster version which is pretty much the same as what will be released. So far its pretty cool except the apps need to be updated to get the best out of it!

Is the goldmaster available to developers only? Would love to get a look at the new OS, but as usual with these things, I'm being really impatient and want it NOW!

Can the goldmaster version be installed onto an iphone using itunes on windows though? I've heard you have to have a mac to be able to have any chnace of getting the OS4 early, is that true? Or is there a way around it on windows?

GM doesn't have the UDID checked like the other betas, so you don't need to have a dev account. The ipsw restore is available through "alternative" means, as is the installer for the iTunes beta, which is required to install the GM, and is only available for the mac at the mo.

I've found one minor bug in SMS (unread counts not being updated properly), but it resolved itself.

    Hi,

Any idea what will happen if you have the GM version when the "official" one is released? I presume they will release itunes 9.2 at the same time, so if you have the beta version of that, what happens? Is it simply a matter of downloading and installing the official 9.2 and then installing the offical os4?
