Its a shame i'm employed :P or I would love to do this course. Any chance their is a low cost option for someone who is employed but who cant get their job to pay for the training costs.

    Hi Leon,

I didn't know anything about the TESG (The Technical Employment Support Grant) until I read this post.

I was interested in doing a VMware course but when I enquired in my local FAS office I was told that the TESG fund had been cut from €2,500 to €1,000 (FAS & Social Welfare fund €500 each).

Do you know if this is accurate because I actually thought that the TESG was funded by the EU as part of the Lisbon strategy which is in place to create growth and jobs over the period 2008-2010. But when I mentioned this I was fobbed off again with 'budget cuts', etc.

    Cheers

I started a thread about the TESG here. I'd be very grateful for anyone who has any information about it to post into this thread. Thank you.
