Hey, just wondering how does World at War compare to MW1 and 2, I know its set in WW2 but is it worth picking up. I've only played MW1 and I'm fairly new to the CoD series. Thanks in advance

i played it for a good few months, enjoyed it, and still a good few playing it. its worth it for the zombie maps alone. There are 3 map packs, which are a bit dear to be paying for if you are not going to get value from them. perhaps there is a platinum edition of the game out that has the map packs included ?

Yes, I also enjoyed it. But CoD 4 was the ledgend of all games. It just brought something incredible to the whole CoD series!

Didn't really care for the single player, but the multiplayer is very good and I'm still addicted to the awesomeness that is Nazi Zombies.

Multiplayer is excellent, just as good as Modern Warfare, but provided you're into that whole earlier era. You wouldn't believe the amount of people that whinge about things like the lack of assault rifles, red dots and the like - uh, it's WW2, reasonable expectations, seriously. Great maps though, great weapons.

I never played MW online or the single player campaign before so WAW was the first title i played out of the series since COD 3.

Personally i loved the game, the campaign was great and nazi zombies is great craic. I haven't played it online but might have a go at it soon to try it out.

MW2 was the first of the series I've played online and i loved the game. I doubt WAW will come close to the MP on MW2 but I probably prefare the offline gameplay of WAW than MW2.

WAW seems to be a more love/hate game but I'd definately recommend picking it up, it's a nice change from MW2.

You are missing a world of fun by not playing on-line. I Rarely play off line these days.

I enjoyed this game on the playstation just for the multiplayer. One level me and my friend legging it around seeing who could get the most kills just by knifing. Yelling "KNIFEY!" after every kill really added to the atmosphere.

i liked it a lot, most people hated it because it wasn't cod 4...

i hate the way people judge a game based on other games..

I liked it too, it did take a while to like though because of comparisons to Cod4, but once you gave it a chance it was a good game.
I've tried to go back and play WAW and Cod4 for that matter but they just don't feel as good as MW2....
    Its a weird one.
