    Can American games be played on an unmodified European Playstation? I was told today that they can. Is this true?

    They can. Games are region free.
    Import away, I have and many others on here have imported games, not just from US, but also from Asia.

    videogamesplus.ca are great. I've always found them fantastic anyway.

    Just be carefull with DLC that is region locked you need a EU game to play DLC from the EU store. So if you import get your DLC from the US/jap store

    Something else to consider is I have not found a store yet that will accept these games as trade ins.
    So if you do get one - and want to unload it - sell it privately - I tend to use eBay.
