Polls not listing voters' names

I've been having problems with all my polls in Creative Writing.

On the first two occasions, low-count posters voted and were given a message saying they had already voted. The poll included their votes, but not their names.

It's now happening with higher-count posters.
    In this one:
    http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2055936787

Poll option 9 has 5 votes but only three names. One of the votes was cast by user ToasterSparks.

We have a system in place that only posters who comment on thread have their votes count so this makes things very difficult to tally.

Has anyone had a chance to verify this problem?

The un-named votes were cast by unregistered users.

Not according to the posters themselves, but I guess if that's that the logs say they must have been logged out by the site temporarily. I'll ask the users for a screenshot if it happens again next time.

    Thanks.

I'm just wondering if there's any chance that a change could be made so that public polls require the user to be logged in, or this as an option? As it is, it's possible for someone to vote, log out, vote again and/or vote from another computer.

Edit: as pointed out to me by --amadeus-- this seems to be related to the fact the forum allows unregistered posting and hence voting.

It's possible to disallow anon voting while keeping anon posting. Anon voting is the usual thing for forums which allow anon posting (think "how many here have contemplated suicide?" in PI).

If it's possible on a forum by forum basis, could you disable anonymous voting on Creative Writing and keep anonymous posting?

    Done.
