    hi
i am graduate with IT background
I am taking my CISA examination tomorrow.
Is there any chance of getting a job in IT auditing or security based on my CISA results?
will my no experience stop me from getting any interviews/jobs?
anyone in the big 4 firms or in this auditing area/ IT security comment on my situation?

Your "no experience" won't prevent you getting a job in your area, but just be prepared to go in at the bottom. If you have your CISA and a tech degree you'll move up faster (ceteris paribus) than someone less well qualified.

Just don't expect to walk into PWC as a lead IT auditor. Softly softly catchee monkey.

thanks verres for the positive response.
ofcourse i am looking at a start role and not to CTO :-)
i wanted to know from the experienced IT auditors how easy is to get into these roles as a fresher.

TBH, we're always looking for Audit Team members. There are quite a few jobs out there at the moment, and if you combine your CISA with another qualification (CISM, ITIL or (god and your social-life forbid) CISSP) you'll find the market even kinder.

Chin up, and don't worry if you don't get what you want straight away. Remember - in a LOT of companies (especially the bigger employers) there is plenty of room for lateral career movement. You may take a role as a BA or PM, and after a few months when you know the ropes where you're working you can start looking and asking about IT Audit roles.

And what experience will you be listing for the experience requirements of the CISA? I throw away any CVs where it is obvious the candidate didn't have the experience requirements to get the cert in the first place.
