    watched this last night, i dont know much about guitar playing but jeez he was good. hard to believe he came out of ireland with a sound like that. such a shame how it all ended, legend though.

    Legendary player. The first time I actually heard of him was the announcement of his death in 1995. I eventually heard some of his stuff and I'd agree that he was definetly the real deal. Forget posers like Phil Lynott et al, Gallagher was the true vanguard of Irish rock in the 70's.
