Hey guys, as you can tell from the title,

i'm doing my driving test next month, however i dont have a car in which to do it. I didn't think it would be a problem, as i figured i could use an examiners car, but i asked them, and they said they do not provide cars...

Is there anyways i can get a car for the day of the test? or will i just have to cancel?

(i can't just get my own car, i'm 19, and paying at least 2 grand for insurance is out of the question!)

I live in castlebar, co. mayo if it helps.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

(forgot to mention, i can drive, decently too i might ad)

most instructors will let you use their car for the test for an extra fee.

I lent my car to a friend recently for her test and it just cost me 30 euro to get her put on my insurance for 24 hours.
Do you have a friend has their own insurance?

When I was doing my test I used the car from the instructor that I had been getting a few lessons from. I found it helpful to have the larger rear view mirror, smaller car and smaller engine.
I believe most driving instructors would offer this service.

Is your instructor an ADI? Sounds really suspect that they don't rent their car for the test. I've never heard of a school that doesn't rent/lend vehicles for the test.
