Just wondering if there is a difference between the two?? As far as I know I have climate control in an A4!....It's been brought up a few times so I figured the only way to settle it was.....to ask a load of different people what they thought?! Oh well!!:D

Climate Control = You set a temperature, and it automatically varies the air con to achieve and keep that temperature.

Air conditioning is just A/C, it blows air as cool or as hot as you choose.

Climate control is where there are sensors which detect the air temperature within the car and alter the flow and temperature of air being blown out including which vents are being used, climate control can also allow for different temperatures on the passenger side and driver side.

Having A/C with no climate control means you have to set which vents the air blows out of yourself and decide the mix of hot/cold air generally using some sort of analog control that just shuts or opens a valve.

Generally if you have a button that says 'Auto' and it controls the speed of the fans and which vents are being used then you have climate control.

All that being said, i've never had a climate system that really could be left to its own devices.

Now that you say it....what does "auto" do??

You set a temp and auto maintains it.

Climate control is great, you just set it to 22 degrees centigrade and everyone in the car is happy. The car decides were it needs to send the coldish air to maintain a consistent temperature
