Anyone have an idea of what the points may be like for 2010 entry? People are saying it's one of the top choices on the CAO this year and it's a bit of a worry if it were to shoot up considering it was 385 last year. It says on the UCC site that they take roughly 150 students a year; would they increase the numbers they accept with the demand? Any ideas welcome :) It's my number 1 on my CAO, keen on doing it just worried as to how I'll fair out considering I had a shocking pre but I've been working my ass off the last 4 weeks:)

I'd be fairly surprised if the points do shoot up for it tbh. The only year I know of having had the full 150 is what would of been last years 4th years. My year started out with 136, by January of first year we were down to 126 and we've got 116 now as far as I know. It's a great course but most people wold put it down as an alternative to Commerce or Computer Science. Theres not a lot of people have it down as the first choice. I can't see teh point going above 400 this year and if it does it won't go higher than 415 I'd imagine.

Don't worry about the pres at least you know what to expect for the following weeks! I'd failed two subjects in my pres and got B1s in both for the actual leaving so I wouldn't take them into acount especially if you have been studying like mad! Best of luck in the rest of them :)

ok cool:) I was in with the first year co-ordinator a few weeks ago to get an insight into the course - seems pretty interesting:) How do you find it? Programming etc manageable?

Jeremy Hayes was it? He's class!

I guess form my experience I find programming horrible. Generally though it's manageable, even if you're not great at it you'd get through it like. We did VB6 when I was in first year and that was handy out! I think first years do VB 2008 or VB. NET now, either way they're all extremely easy in the grand scheme of all things programming!

The business part of the course in first year was really easy for me. A lot of people do struggle with the accounting subjects though and there are some subjects that seem incredibly pointless but overall first year is fine. There's a high drop out rate but a very low failure rate!

ya Jeremy went through the whole course:)

Ah right that should be manageable so do business for the leaving. Chances are I'll be fine in the course so
