    Purchased a web domain that i'm using on wordpress. Thing is i've changed the name of my company can I change the name of the domain for free?:confused:

    Highly unlikely, since the new name will need to be registered with IEDR or Internic, and you agreed to the old name for a year (or whatever was in the contract).

    I'd contact whoever you registered with and ask, but I wouldn't hold my breath.

    That said, domain name registration is separate from your hosting cost; a .com might be anything from €5 to €20 and a .ie is around €20 to €40; there is no need for another/a different hosting package, as the name is merely a "signpost" to the hosting, and it's no bother to add a new signpost.
