I'm thinking, opening game of the ceremony, hosts will try get get off to a bang and so will mexico, both fairly good going forward, the bets im gonna throw on will probably be something like..

    mexico to win @ 2.5
    over 2.5 goals @ 2.37
Both teams to score @ 2
Vela to score first @ 8

Not sure how much on each or whether I'm going for what yet, but that's whats looking good to me.

Great idea to set up a individual thread for each match so that betting tips for matches 4 days in advance aren't 5 pages back (as mentioned somewhere else).

    Anyway, can't wait till tomorrow.

My betting tips are available here for this match.

Best of luck to everyone betting and I hope all of us make it worthwhile.

i think mexico at around 10/11 in the draw no bet market is a decent price,
i think mexico should be around the 4/6 mark

That price on Mex DNB is pretty nice alright,I know home crowd are behind S.Africa and all that but they were also behind them when they drew 0-0 in the opening game with Iraq in 2009.South Africa's squad is muck bar pienaar so all thats remaining to be seen for me is whether I go Mex straight win or DNB

Best value bet for me is Hernandez to score (if a starter). As big as 4.4 on the exchanges.

thats a very good price on hernandez to score anytime, with mokoena floating about the place you always have a chance of scoring, he seems like an excellent finisher too from what ive seen of him and i think he's going to start as well, mexico play with 3 up front, 2 wingers & 1 striker, i think hernandez will start ahead of franco

Looks like the referee is fond of the cards, especially the red one.

From what I gather he gives one every 2/3 games in bigger competitions.

7/2 for a red card with Ladbrokes.

Ravsham Irmatov. Young ref. Might be a step too far for him.

I just used up the paltry €6 on tomorrows game.

    €5.50 on Javier Hernandez to score 2 or more goals @ 18/1, and €0.50 on a hatrick @ 80/1 :o

Will be making a bigger deposit in a few hours for the serious betting ;)

If he comes on after the first goal is scored I think your bet is void...

Who did you back it with?

    How are Mexico not winning??

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,341 ✭✭✭El Horseboxo

Mexico looking likely to score. SA seem very suspect from set pieces and vunerable from the left back position. Mexico suffering from the same problems but they're not being overly tested. Except for this spell right now. Dos Santos looking very dangerous and one of his passes has to come off eventually. Odds get any better in the second half and i reckon i'll take Mexico first to score.

You're allowed have one player behind the ball, usually it's the goalie but the South african goalie was flapping around the penalty spot.

Jaysus thank fook Mexico first to score didn't hit over 3.00. I was gonna throw a good bit on it.

No luck, was going to stay away from this game, but backed mexico after seeing how poor SA were in the first few minutes.
Was pulling my hair out watchin mexico pouring everyone forward and leavin so much space time and again.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 322 ✭✭noelpat

I think anyone who backed Mexico can blame Franco! He wasted at least 3 good chances in the first half!

Not a bad game for an opener. :)
I'm happy anyway with both the teams scoring.
