Summer Clothes - is there any point?

Just wondering if anyone else out there feels the same, but I for one fins it really difficult to spend on summer clothes. Loads of reasons for this:
    1. They are generally not of very good quality.
    2. We just dont have the weather for short shorts
    3. They are more prone to be victim of one season trends. . .

    Anyone else feel this way?

I normally just wear tshirts and jeans for Summer clothes, but the weather we had for the last couple of weeks finally convinced me to get some light dresses. The way I see it they were cheap and they are just really handy to have for those one or two nice days we get in the Summer!

So while I wouldn't have an entire Summer wardrobe, I think it's handy to have some light dresses/ linen trousers (which never go out of style!) to put on.

I love summer dresses. H & M do great ones, I wear them in work every day.
They are so much more comfortable than a t-shirt and jeans for me at least.
I just wear a cardigan on top if it's a bit cold.

I try to buy more classic pieces that will withstand more than 1 season and top them up with cheapy pieces just meant for one holiday.

Well as unpredictable as the weather is here I don't want to be in my winter woolies the one day out of seven its sunny.

I think there is a point, don't buy into trends, follow your own instinct and buy clothes of decent quality that will last a few summer seasons. Like blouses and shorts.

I agree with poster above, H&M do some great summer dresses.

I love summer wardrobes. Girls in pretty summer dresses are what sparked my interest in clothes and styles all those years ago. Have to say that I'm dissapointed by all the maxi dresses currently around. Not a good look, or should I say, not a look that appeals to me.

As for mens summer clothing - Linen. Need I say more?

    I'm older than Minecraft goats.
