    You can just use RCA->XLR, but the DI box is better, cos it will get rid of the hum, with its ground lift on.

    Try the rca->xlr first, and if the hum's bad use the DI.

    Ok thanks very much for your reply I've decided to go with a DDM4000 as it has balanced outs instead of the DJM400.
