Dattebayo stop subbing Bleach

So,

It was anounced on Dattebayo on Monday (I'm slow,I know...) that episode 274 would be their final Fansub of Bleach.

They've done so as a sign of support for CrunchyRoll starting to cast it legally.
This follows their stopping of subbing Naruto too a year ago.

I'm just wondering if people will keep on watching it on crunchyroll now, use horriblesubs/crunchy subs (ripoffs) or just stop watching it.

I'm a part of the latter, to be honest, seeing as I don't like streaming and they don't allow downloads.

I'll probably watch horrible/crunchysubs from now on. Been pretty close to dropping Bleach recently but I'll keep watching non-filler episodes

I skipped a large chunk in the middle and found not only did it make no difference but I'm actually enjoying it a lot more than most other people (because I didn't have all that tedium -

I stopped when Orihime got kidnapped

and started again when the rescue team left so it's all fresh and new to me.

ANYWAY ON TOPIC surely someone else will start subbing Bleach? I mean a few other groups have picked up Naruto.

Sounds like someone got caught out by one of their trolls and bears a grudge ever since.

The speed and quality of their subs is the best there is. Generally better than the commercial releases too.

Dattebayo are one of the top fansubbing teams out there. I'm sorry, but if you're going to claim otherwise, I'd appreciate reasoning.

The only complaint I ever see people have about DB is that they only release in .avi format. But I don't think that's a big deal to 90% of people

I've always found their subs to be top notch

you never had a torrent feed download a few gigs of baseball, good riddance to them some other group will start even if bleach is being streamed such as taka doing naruto.

People have been saying for years that they'll stop downloading fansubs when someone starts licensing anime and releasing subs within a week of the airdate.

Well, guess what, Crunchyroll is doing just that. Sure it would be nice if they offered downloads like iTunes or the like. But this is early days.

A LOT of places had just been reuploading DB's subs :P

DB's site shows a list of torrent DLs per episode, but their actual viewcount, when you allow for redistribs etc. is 10x that, I'd say.

I've subbed up to Crunchy for a year now (it's only 60 USD) and got a US proxy going at the side as well to give me unlimited access to all content and Hulu

The translations for Bleach are not up to DB standards (sad panda) but they are acceptable and they are fast to get them out and stream up to 720p.

I stopped watching Bleach after 24 episodes. This does not upset me in the slightest.

I used to watch the Anime, until I found out the Manga is further ahead, so once I started reading the manga I never could go back to watching it.
