I'm thinking strongly of moving to Sallins for the summer and then commuting from there to college in ballyF. I'm 23 and don't mind a bit more travel either way, but I am considering the cost and how long it will take but I don't really know about coming from sallns so if anyone could help me it'd be appreciated. I know I can get a bus from maynooth and (traffic pending) be at the college within an hour of getting the bus. for €2.20.
any help or advise would be greatly appreciated.
    thanks in advance,
    Adam

    One option here for you:

You could get the train from Sallins to Parkwest and Cherry Orchard Station and then use the 79/a bus to Ballyfermot College, both stop nearby the station.

Or you could take the train from Sallins to Heuston Station and take the 79/a directly across the road from Heuston Station to Ballyfermot.

Personally I'd use Heuston as there is more choice in trains to/from Sallins. There is also the option of using the 78a service to/from Ballyfermot which stops just a five minute walk from Heuston and the driver will be more than happy to give you simple directions.

I can't help you on price due to the total lack of information available, one of the other transport buffs around should be able to help;).
