Ok a while ago i bough a little adaptor off ebay (RCA/S.Video To VGA)

Now i planned on hooking my PC up to my TV, But ended up just buying a new PC screen and havnt even done that

Now today i was looking for ways to hock the xbox 360 to my monitor (VGA)

I Put the adaptor onto my monitors VGA Port and plugged the RCA (Yellow) lead from the xbox into the RCA (Female port) but nothing showed up on the screen when i powered the xbox on it said "No signal" on the screen

Is there a way around this without having to buy the Xbox VGA Cable?

I think you need the XBox adaptor as the console needs to understand that it's being asked to display to a PC monitor and told what resolution to use.

However, you're in luck, they're on sale in HMV - see this thread.
