Mold in my good Golf Shoes!!!! Help!

Was out playing in the typical Irish Summer weather on the Bank Holiday Monday, and needless to say everything got drenched bar my trousers thanks to my Calvin Greens.

From this I was trying to dry my shoes (Copenhagen's) but naturally did not want to crack the leather, to my disgust this evening I noticed that the insoles where coverd in mold!!!!! (F**K Sake, these shoes where not cheap!!!)

Anyway I have disposed of my Insoles but can see traces of mold inside.

Has this happened to anyone else? and whats the best way to get rid of the mold?

I have had the shoes for about 8 months, reckon I could return them (cheeky?)

I would always stuff them with paper etc to dry them out if I wasnt going to leave them near heat. Also take out the insoles when wet and dry them separately. You should be able to clean out the mould with some household bleach-type spray.

Wow! I can't believe you would even think about trying to return them, that is beyond mean. They're not mouldy through some fault of the manufacturer but because you didn't dry them out properly.

This is nearly as bad as the person who wanted to photocopy a strokesaver instead of buying one themselves.
