Work experience if she done 4th Year (big mistake if she didn't imo), if not find some type of work she done. One of the references could be the form teacher for her or the school principal.

I'd say by the time the Leaving is finished the student summer work ship has sailed.

Hey don't worry if she does not have work experience already, she is still very young and the only way to get experience is to get a job so everybody must start at that point at one stage in their lives. Yeah I agree, most or possibly all of the jobs will have gone by the time the leaving cert ends (remember college students have been finished since end of may) but there is no harm in trying and having a C.V on hand is useful. On the C.V, I would include regular details such as phone number, address, juniour cert results and any cources she may have done up to this. Also skills like computers and other strengths would look good. Also mention her interests. As for a referee, you could include her principle (his/her school number and school adress) and also her year head/tutor if ya want a second one. As for the cover letter, its no harm including a general account as to why she would be interested in the retail sector and include how 'passionate' she would be and how much of a necessity it is. Basically anything that looks good. Hope this helps and best of luck to her! :):)

Don't forget to add anything she did in school like work in the school bank, school shop, charity work, First aid certs etc

The people looking at the CV will know she is just out of school and the role she will be applying for will relfect that.
