Decided to make my own rabbit trap today outa a few bits and pieces from the shed. I was thinking of trapping a few and relocating them near my land to give me some quarry to shoot for the pot. What woul be the best bait lads and where would be the best spot to put it in the field? thanks

cage type traps were never very good for rabbits, one of my friends who is a professional pest control operator uses this type of thing for rabbits and swears by it

Ive no experience trapping rabbits but my one worked on a pet one at home. Is that one just a simple pitfall one?

You're 100% correct there AFAIK. Can't remember the exact bit of legislation, but if I find it, will post it up FYI.

Falls in under a few categories, you need a permit to trap for research etc.NPWS

Killing Vermin on the other hand is ok, keeping it alive is not ;)
