Dog training Ireland, you can find them on Facebook or their website http://www.dogtrainingireland.ie/home.php

I like their attitude to dog training, humane methods used so no forcing or choke chains or pulling dogs etc.

DSPCA - can't recommend Alex highly enough! And I think a portion of fee goes to DSPCA. Win win.

Yes, these classes are on every week on a tues night, although i think the puppy training is at 7/7.30 not 8. Think the ring craft starts at 8.
You can just turn up, its not a set thing, so you dont have to go every week. Its great for socialisation as lots of people and dogs there.

Its the National Show centre at Cloghran, just down from the airport on the old swords road, very easy to find.

Is it more dog socialising or do they do obedience training??Sorry for keep asking questions, its just my problem with my dog is she gets on with most dogs especially small dogs but seems to have a problem with dogs her own size and sex ..She is a 2 year old female boxer. She doesnt always get aggressive but always gets up in the other dogs face and if other dog snaps or growls she starts fighting !!!!And the other problem i have if she is off lead she doesnt always come back straight away:rolleyes::rolleyes:other den dis she is a perfect dog...im just wondering wud these classes in kennel club be good or should i go to a pre booked class where dey can give individual attention?

They would be brill for her because there are dogs of all sizes and they show you how to socialize your dog with other dogs and how to have control over them when your out and about especially if you meet other dogs,I would recommend going a fews as it will take a little while before you will see a difference but it is worth it as it will pay off,Plus theres loads of other boxers there too!!! just remember to bring some threats with you because you give them some as a reward for their behaviour,If you go to an indviual class it won't mix her with other dogs and it sounds like thats the prob with her she needs to mix more defo worth it,plus it's only a €5 those private ones can be pricey! hope it works out do let us know how your getting on!

Is the class only for puppies or can older dogs go also?

I am currently in the UK but moving home next month. I have a 20 month old Jack Russell terrier who loves her classes. She is the biggest flirt on the planet and being a typical terrier really needs training to keep her in line:D

Hi all well i went last night with ruby, and we got on just fine:DThere was so many dogs up there the puppy classes start at 7 as far as i know. Its 10 euro to start with and 5 euro every other week.I have a harness for ruby but the insructor said this was no good for training as i wouldnt have the same level of control over her as i would have with a half check chain or a slip lead.So because Ruby is all muscle she reccomended half check chain 4 me.Ther was about 8 maybe 10 dogs in my group and she looked at each one and assesed them.We done basic obedience commands and abit of recall.Ruby enjoyed it and so did i:DSo its back nxt week 4 us both!!
