Hope to get something like for €750/800 inc. delivery:

    I3
    4GB DDR3, upgradeable
    17in LED
    Windows 7 x64
    7200rpm HDD, 320+
Blu-Ray player would be a bonus.

I need it no later than Friday week, or if after that to be deliverable to Spain. Would that timeframe discount Dell?

On many of the sites I've been looking at they don't say whether Windows 7 is 32 or 64. If the machine has 4GB can I take it that it is 64-bit?

It's not a given that a machine with 4GB will have a 64bit OS installed. Although it's likely it is, just make sure. I got a tonne of machines in work all with 4GB of RAM and all were 32 bit. And it's not something that was company specific as the windows 7 licenses weren't even being used.
I would have thought an i5 would be achievable at that budget too, although if bluray is a necessity then it will throw things off.

Thanks. It's annoying that so many don't say which version the OS is. There's so much narrowing down to do already. You haven't spotted any decent machines yourself lately? :)

The Samsung is 32bit so that's out. Anyone got any other suggestions? Otherwise, the Dell it is.
