Can't recommend this as I have never stayed there but it is probably the closest to the I.T. (I could be corrected thou)

Knew some people who used stay there a couple of times a year and they couldn't recommend it highly enough. It's situated almost centrally between the IT and the town centre, about 5mins walk to the IT and 5 mins to the pubs.

Stayed in Barroville for about 10days and they were very friendly.the breakfast was lovely..only problem was finding the time to eat it!
