Airport security - Underwired bra vs chunky watch

Why is it that my g/f's underwired bra always sets off the metal detector at the airport security check, but my chunky, solid diver's watch never does?

This is really driving me crazy - more so than the fact that the missus knows that her bra is going to set off the alarm and have to be groped by female security guard, and yet she wears it every time we have to fly.

Little known secret, that airport security machine is nothing but an elaborate prop and the buzzing noise you hear is actually activated by a hand controlled button held by the security guard. It only ever goes off if the guard thinks you're attractive and would like the opportunity to undress you.

Im 100% sure she just likes being searched. I recommend borrowing a airport security uniform, handcuffs, a mouse, a lump of cheese, a piece of string and some sandpaper to test this.
