I was thinking of buying myself a grenade or two - Sure would make clearing bunkers etc easier!

I've seen two main brands, Tornado (Which seesmt o be reusable) and Thunder B (Which requires new shells). Im wondering which is best?

The Thunder B seems to be around 30-40 whereas the Tornado is 100-110.

    Help!

Just remember to factor in the cost of CO2 + shells for the Thunder B in your decision. €2 isn't a lot...but if you use it a crap load, then it accumulates.

Something to consider is the Tornado impact grenade. Looks interesting, but most likely costs a bomb

Also, Thunders don;t actually fire pettels, they just make a bang. Granted, a very nice bang, but without the carnage

I,ve got both of these and the nice loud bang of the Thunder B is much better than the bbs silently flowing from the Tornado. Even the sound conversion kit for the Tornado is well below the sound of the Thunder B. I've posted it into a room and it wasn't heard over the sound of automatic aeg fire. A loug bang is what you need to get peoples attention let them know a grenade has gone off and they are dead as opposed to silent bbs strikes that you can barely feel at all bit the closest ranges if it hits you at all. For me The thunder B is the better by far. You'll get about 30 uses of the thunder for the price of the tornado which too has to be filled and gassed. If you only buy one then 30 shots is goin to last you a while.

kinda prefer thunder Bs IMO because ofthe bay it produces and the look it brings!
I think the thunger B is a brill invesment granted you can afford the extra shells and co2 cartidges which arnt expensive!
although in redbarn(where i play most) you not aloud use them indoors because of desibel so i dunno if that applies to any other place! so i would make sure!
tornado i feel doesn't give the whole affect of a "hahaha grenade in your ass" feeling! lol ass its just a *plop... ssssssssssssss(BBs)
where thunder bs its *plop... BANG!!!!!*
    lol

    just my 2 dolla!
    xXx

I'm of the opposite opinion actually. My biggest gripe with the thunder b is the consistent failures :( at least with my tornado I've a choice of a (safe) BB grenade or a bang. Sure I wouldn't mind it being louder but at least when I throw it into a room I know it's going off in exactly 3 seconds!

    1) Don't use soundflash shells
    2) Coat the thread of the shell in vaseline or plumbers tape
    3) Glue a coin into the bottom of the core

These simple tips will dramatically improve the reliability of your Thunder B.

Personally I prefer the Thunder B, it makes a loud bang (110dB for the pinapple grenade, over 120dB for the thunderflash) that tells everyone nearbay that i's gone off and is very satisfying. There's a group of snobs who complain that it doesn't shoot BBs and their expensive ones do but the fact is there is no way you can claim to not have noticed a Thunder B and it produces as far better simulation of a grenade blast.

As for usage in buildings, they're less loud than pyros. This whole can't be used in buildings thing is from a massive over reaction of a few people on here. It'd be better to ban the thunderflash shell completely than to ban Thunder Bs indoors.

I find people have so many failures with Thunder B's is because they're not assembling the grenade properly. No offense meant, not calling anyone stupid here, the instructions aren't the best. When people put the CO2 cartridge in they tighten the tube (that the cartridge sits in) way to much and then the CO2 can't get out. So of course its not going to go off when the gas can't escape to inflate (and burst) the shell.

I myself can get a Thunder B to repeatedly go off after 3-4 seconds. And I do all 3 steps Stonewolf mentioned.
