We stayed in a great place in Burgundy last year, quiet, small, well kept. We're looking for something similar - don't really need a pool (will just be trying to keep the dog out of it!) and we REALLY don't want somewhere with organised entertainment and all that jazz.

    Has anyone any recommendations?

    Or even Ile de Re?

Les Pirons in Les Sables D'olonne is very good.

I am staying there in a few weeks and have stayed there before. Small quiet campsite with pine tree cover. Less sites and less hectic than other sites. Peaceful and relaxing I suppose.

Nice port within walking distance and a nice village.

Thanks a million guys, just getting round to looking at these.

Any general recommendations for that area? Where to go, what's nice?!

This campsite has repeat bookings as people come here to relax, the local resturants are excellent and the area has beautiful lakes and is about 1 hour from the coast. The surrounding villages are lovely. Most of the information you are looking for is on their website www.labaudonniere.com
