Reducing aspect ratio on tyres

I'm replacing my tyres this month - current size is 195/65/15 which has the car sitting very high as it used to have a set of 14" steel wheels which where 185/70 I think -
might have been 165/70 not certain - but I did have to raise the car to get the alloys onto the hub

I can get a set of 4x Toyo Proxes T1r which I've had on previous cars for €170 but which have a lesser aspect ratio 195/50/15

using online calculators, it comes out at around 58mm lower ride height - seems a lot, but as I said the car sits extremley high since changing from 14" steelies to 15" alloys

So, If I do apart from a slightly bumpier ride, will there be any negative side effects to reducing the aspect ratio/sidewall height?

Anyone have first hand experience of doing this?
