Have 06 Ford Focus Cmax 1.8 TDCI ZETEC.
Been to the Cmax owners website and had a look at a post trying to find out if it has a timing belt or chain.
Answers ranged from Belt to Chain to Both.
Since I'm none the wiser I also don't know when to change whatever it is I have in my engine.
there's no Haynes manual for it yet, the dealer has assured me I'll be alright for 120000 miles, it's done 146000 Kilometers, so according to him I'm ok, but hands up here who trusts a car salesman?;)
Answers on a postcard, or just post here anyone I haven't insulted yet :D

It has both, and should be done now to be honest.

Well that's annoying, when I bought the car the guy said to me "Ah sure, she'll be the finesht, grand now, she's flyin' it, shaving a bullock, grand now, huar huar huar", which I find the standard reply to anything technical to do with cars in my area (rural) where garages are involved.
But this answer was given to me by a main Ford dealer.
Since I only bought the car recently I'll be leaning on him for a deal, or since I have a guarantee should he not do it altogether?
Just to clarify, it 140000 Kilometres, not miles.
    In miles it's 87000 miles.
