Warping Floor Boards?

    Hi, we had 5" red deal floor boards secret nailed in our upstairs bedrooms. In the main bedroom one or two floor boards have warped the length of the room.

    My Questions are 1. Is it easy to rectify this and 2. Should the builder come back and do this (house is 9 months old).

    not really easy to fix if they were nailed down.there is no need to nail down a floor.make sure they put a washer in between every 4 or 5 boards as a spacer,this expansion allows the boards to move when they shrink and expand according to the heat/humidity fluctuations of the house.not sure how much the builder will do for you after 9 months.

    Are the boards cupping? Its normal enough to happen in softwood floorboards in new builds.

    It may be made a little better by refinishing the floor ..
