Insurance Question

I have a question about insurance companies: AXA and AVIVA. In Yours opinion which one of them are more "friendly" and give You more options to choose/better offer. At the moment i have to change my insurance company (Quinn Direct), because my car was nearly stolen. The teenagers broke the window and console under the steering-wheel and they charged me (have to pay Excess) and also I gonna loose 3 Years of No Claims Bonus (i'm with them since June 2006). Did it ever happen in Your policy to loose No Claims Bonus for that someone just tried robbed Your car?

    Thanks in advance

i'm with quinn. my policy booklet says any claim except windscreen means losing no claims and paying excess. that's what i signed up to.

a lot of other ones won't deduct though and if you switch to them they will even reinstate some of your no claims if they were theft claims etc.

ring around aviva, fbd, axa etc and see what they say.

It is a No Claims Bonus, not a No Blame Bonus. You take a settlement and your bonus will be affected

Britton Insurance in Donegal are fairly popular.

Also got a good price for fully comp from them.

Posts moved to a new thread. No point dragging up old threads for no real reason.
Ring around to as many brokers/Insurance Companies and see what quotes you get and compare the cover being offered. It's the only way. I only did this last week, i got quotes ranging from 2500 to 1000 fully comp. And the cheapest was with Aviva and the cover seems reasonable. The point being that it pays to shop around!
