    Hi all,

Want to upgrade from a xsara 1.4 as few bits are going and have it for 3 years. Great first car btw. Just wondering does any1 have any comments or remarks about 306 dturbo the 2l hdi model as am considering buying one as i love them and they would be cheap on fuel.

Was contemplating getting a legacy b4 or altezza but looks like it wont happen. Can afford insurance but prob not running cost.

    Thanks

Very good handling and they do maga miles no bother once serviced regularly, they are also very good looking in 3 door form.

    Great cars in diesel form.

Make sure its been serviced regularly and check everything electrical. The window regulators and switches are a known weak point as is the suspension

Try and get a Hdi version rather than a DTurbo.

why m8? i thought that DTurbo were "the Shiz" to have.

I actually whanted one myself before, i think they look really nice in 3 doors. Just needs to be left with standart body kit!

OP: are you looking it as a good MPG car, or a good fun car. As this pug is best of bouth worlds :D

Get a d turbo model of the hdi, this has all the gti suspension etc and is a great car, make sure the aircon works as they are notorious for it and if you want more power pm me and i can sort you out, mine is running 160 bhp and 280 lb/ft of torque  and soon over the 200 mark once i fit the hybrid turbo and bmw hp pump
chap called dave from the uk does amazing custom maps for these, only 110 quid and i have the gear to put them on, can do 130 bhp map with zero other changes, any more needs a front mount intercooler :D

They seem comfortible and nice to drive. I never had a major complaint from the xsara either. Any ideas of nice ones for sale. Dont want it done up to the tits just a nice 3 door.
